SMSC & British Values
SMSC stands for Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural development. At The Henry Beaufort School SMSC is embedded within every aspect of the curriculum and your child’s development.
At The Henry Beaufort School we aim to develop our students and encourage them to think about and explore the ever changing society that we live in. In order to do this we promote British Values across the curriculum and as part of day-to-day life at school. British Values are:
- Democracy;
- The rule of law;
- Individual liberty;
- Mutual respect for and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs and for those without faith.
Both SMSC and British Values are integral themes of our six drop down days that take place each academic year. Details of our drop down days can be found here.
SMSC is embedded into our tutor time schedule.
